I hate ULEZ so I’ve taken my revenge on the cameras… I won’t stop

A MOTORER who hates the ULEZ system has revealed how he got his revenge on the cameras and said he won’t stop.

The anonymous driver took a video of his efforts, which was then uploaded to Twitter by an account called London and UK Street News.

The clip shows a collection of number plate recognition cameras being used to enforce London’s Ultra Low Emission Zone (ULEZ) charge.

A charge of £12.50 a day to enter London is imposed on vehicles that fail to meet certain emissions standards and has been controversial among locals, despite strong support from Mayor Sadiq Khan.

The mysterious man swore at the ULEZ while showing the number of cameras he shot down.

He said, “One man can do that to ULEZ in less than half a day.”

“Fuck your ULEZ. Hold on you ass.

“No one wants it and we will do that every time.”

He also targeted Mr Khan for driving the scheme, which is set to expand to all districts of the capital in August.

The furious Londoner then went on to explain how he took the cameras off, claiming she could do it in “less than a minute”.

He called on others to follow his example.

There was a mixed reaction from other social media users in the comments.

One wrote: “What a legend.”

However, another opined: “You’re wasting our tax.”

Meanwhile, a third added: “I really hope they find this criminal and prosecute him.”

“It’s totally illegal.”

This comes after plans to expand the zone fell into jeopardy in April when five councils took legal action against it.

Daming Research estimates the plan will cost London’s economy half a billion pounds each year in May.
