A CONVERTED Aldi superfan said she could cut her grocery bill in half simply by shopping at the discount grocery chain.
She shared her tips on what the most important purchases are and why.
Grocery Girl Bee describes herself as someone who loves to save money on groceries and offer ideas for clean, healthy eating.
Her TikTok video revealed that earlier this year she decided to cut her grocery bills.
Then she listed eight items at Aldi that she says have helped her cut her grocery bills in half.
Her post received more than 49,000 views.
In it she revealed nine things that she must take with her Aldi Hols.
She prefers a healthy whole-wheat bread with sprouts called “Knock Your Sprouts Off.” She says, “It’s better for your gut and not as processed.”
To keep on the health beat, she says she likes to pick up organic whole milk plain yogurt from the store. She said there is a wide range of organic goods in the grocery chain and said “they are not expensive”.
This is another port of call for them. She chooses the pasteurized variant. She says she recently switched to the Aldi brand and is happy with the switch.
The fruit is available from Aldi in organic quality, says the health fanatic, the prices are cheaper than in other shops, and the goods at the discounter are very good.
5. Italian sausage
This was another must buy for her. She said Target used to have “the best Italian sausage,” but added that they don’t make it anymore.
She says that when she switched to Aldi, she had no intention of buying meat there. She says she doesn’t know why she was “skeptical” but says she’s definitely happy to buy it there.
She called the 100% grass-fed beef available at the chain a “hidden treasure,” adding that it’s “a lot cheaper than Target’s regular beef.”
She also touted the organic, free-range chicken there, which costs about $6. She said that was cheaper than the chicken available at Target.
For snacking, she likes the Himalayan Pink Salt Popcorn, which she highlighted. She said it’s all organic and contains organic coconut oil, which is said to be good for you.
Her post received more than 1,400 likes and dozens of comments.
A TikToker agreed to the cheaper prices. “I was at Aldi again yesterday! Bought some fruit and veg, cheese and a few other staples. So much cheaper! I’ll try meat next.”
Another chimed in with her own advice, saying: “If you can find the three pack of this beef, it ends up being cheaper per pound than the regular ground beef.”
While another made recommendations on how to save even more. “I love Aldi. Find your local butcher for meat, honestly so good, so much cheaper than even Aldi most of the time and support local businesses.”
Grocery Girl Bee said that besides going to grocery stores like Aldi, which she thinks are cheaper, she also helps her cut costs by planning her list ahead of time and being strategic about her purchases.
