I had the worst landlord – they didn’t fix my heating, lights or shower… but I had the ultimate revenge

A WOMAN was furious after her nightmarish landlord refused to fix broken items – but she got her ultimate revenge.

Between broken heaters and dead outlets, the Minnesota woman gave her followers a shocking list of everything else that was wrong with the house.

In the nearly three-minute video, Syd darted between rooms in her home to show viewers the state it was in.

But it didn’t stay that way for long, as the frustrated tenant eventually won a court battle after going on a rent strike until any necessary repairs were made.

In the video, Syd started in front of a radiator while trying to change the temperature, saying: “It hasn’t gone up for days, weeks, months, whatever.”

Next, she flicked a switch on one wall and swung to a ceiling fan, which remained silent despite her multiple attempts to turn it on.

Syd then revealed a filthy patch of mold stretching across her ceiling and told her fans, “See that, I know it looks gross but that’s because it is.”

She listed her sink, shower drain, and stove as the next household items that didn’t work, and even claimed her stove exploded in her former roommate’s face.

A gaping hole in the wall revealing a rusty pipe was revealed to viewers before she explained the horror story of the steps leading up to her home.

“See how some steps are different?” She asked her followers “that’s because it broke out under my boyfriend when he walked over her in the middle of winter”.

In the next room, Syd showed her followers the ceiling, which can be seen covered in horrific mold stains caused by her leaky roof.

The angry tenant had her pines down on her next nightmare story, in which she claimed her landlord had made Syd’s boyfriend fix the roof, a year and a half ago.

The TikToker said her landlord has agreed to pay her boyfriend around £2,400 for the job and even cut Syd’s rent by two months.

But in a shocking twist in the story, the Minnesota tenant claimed her boyfriend never saw the money he was promised.

Syd revealed that this was one of the reasons she decided to get revenge on her horror landlord.

The tenant soon went on a rent strike – refusing to pay her landlord due to the atrocious conditions of the house.

But Syd told her 33.4k followers she faced an eviction court when her landlord tried to evict her after the rent strike.

And according to Syd, the court refused to even move the case because the landlord’s position was so weak.

She said in her video: “The court clerk said she might as well just step out, otherwise that’s the way it is [the case] will simply be released and she will no longer be able to apply for eviction in the future.

“All because I had proof of all the shit that was wrong with the house, they told her if she didn’t personally settle with us out of court, they were going to just drop it and she’d be screwed in the future.”

The post garnered a mega 31.7k likes and over 1k comments, with followers leaving their thoughts and support on the horrific situation.

One wrote: “I see ALL types of lawsuits! Damned!”

A second said: “Hope you find a new home this weekend girl! That’s just awful that she would ignore all these problems!!”

Another commented: “Girl you don’t deserve to live in this mess, I wouldn’t pay rent either.”

She ended the tirade, telling her followers: “This house is 100 percent mold and it’s freaking gross, I have a viewing for a new place this weekend so fingers crossed.”
