I got school essentials at Target and even EARNED money – like you can too

BACK-TO-SCHOOL can be a difficult time financially for many families as material costs have increased for the New Year.

However, one savvy shopper found a way to not only save, but earn money back on a recent purchase at Target.

TikTok user Qpon4savings shared how she not only bought these Paper Mate pens for free but also made money from the purchase

Many families are already overwhelmed and are running their paychecks over the top as they look for ways to push it a little further while cutting costs where they can.

Because of this, some might consider what the self-proclaimed deal hunter and freebie finder Qpon4savings has done awesome.

The TikToker recently posted a video showing her buying four boxes of Paper Mate pens for school – paid for – and benefiting from the purchase.

That’s how she did it

First, she went to the stationery section of her local Target store and went straight to the pens, which come in a pack of 20.

She made sure to pick the ones with a sticker that said 75 cents off.

Each box was $1.99 and she bought four boxes for a total of $7.96.

Next, she had to pay $4.96 plus tax at the register as each of the 75-cent coupons was deducted.

The 75 cent discount on each of the four packs she bought was just the beginning of her savings quest

That’s when she pulled out a Fetch Rewards coupon for $3 off each if you buy two — for a total of $6 off the entire purchase.

She said she had to correct the receipt to reflect the new total but said she received her points within minutes.

The voucher she used was valid for use with:

  • At least 2 Paper Mate 10 count+
  • Limit of three offer submissions per user
  • Three bid submissions per document
  • All required items must be purchased on the same receipt to earn points towards this offer
  • Multiple packs can be purchased

She met all the requirements for the purchase, “doing all of this for free and $1.04 as a moneymaker,” she said, showing the pens.

Fetch offers rewards points for hundreds of brands including names like Colgate, Dove, Huggies, Lays and Pepsi to name a few.

She has received more than 12,000 views for her post and more than 770 likes.

Some people have left comments about the purchase.

One asked: “Any deals on Sharpies? We go through them like we do underwear at work because they always disappear.”

Another said she “did that at Walmart last week.”

And another asked for clarification: “Can’t you just use one Peeley per transaction?”

To which Qpon4savings replied: “Target allows four per transaction.”
