The new dad was attacked after meeting the moped driver to collect his £57.83 meal.

She hadn’t been able to find his address and Stephen, 34, couldn’t provide a passcode to confirm the order as he’d left his phone at home.

He said: “I said, ‘I’ll take the pizzas and I’ll come back with them,’ but she didn’t have any of it.

“She lunged at me, punched and kicked me.

“That’s when my thumb landed in her mouth and she squeezed until it came loose.

“I had excruciating spatters of blood.”

Stephen was told in hospital that the thumb police are holding up in evidence could not be reattached.

He said, “It ruined my life.”

A 33-year-old woman was presumptuously arrested at the scene in Aldershot, Hamps, last week on suspicion of GBH and was released on bail until March.

Deliveroo determined.

A spokeswoman said: “This behavior is totally unacceptable.”
