I found a tiny home on Amazon for $8,900 — it’s great for first-time owners, but it’s missing a crucial element

A WOMAN has found a tiny home on Amazon for under $10,000 that’s perfect for first-time buyers as home prices are skyrocketing.

Lots of people on TikTok and YouTube are sharing their small, innovative homes as people downsize and often go off the grid to buy their first property.

The BGW Home Team (@marriedrealtors_florida) posted on TikTok about an affordable first home for those desperate to leave their parents’ house.

In the video, the caption reads, “I found a tiny home on Amazon under $10,000.”

The garden house is available on the website for only $8,900 or payable in installments.

These are available from $741.67 per month for one year at zero percent APR.

Allwood Chloe’s kit booth is 123 square meters and the tiktoker told her followers: “Buy your own land and build a community!”

However, followers weren’t that impressed with the find, noting that it’s not a “house” and doesn’t even have a parking space.

One commented, “You mean a shed” and others noted they couldn’t find tiny houses on Amazon.

Another questioned the lack of space, asking, “Where do we actually park?”

A woman asked, “Where are the tiny houses listed on the Amazon website?

Someone else replied and said, “Because I don’t see it either.”

The kit cabin is listed in Amazon’s garden and outdoor section and is estimated to take three to five days to build for two adults.

Per the design specification details, the wall thickness is 1-5/16″ and the floor and ceiling panels are 3/4″.

The tiny house has two double doors with glass windows and four windows, two on each side of the door and one on each side of the cabin.

The back wall remains completely closed, but the large windows that open let in lots of light and make the space feel larger.

Amazon recommends buyers purchase spray foam insulation sealant, Styrofoam sheets, and 1×4 sheets.

The floorboards and floor joists are included in the online company’s kit.

According to Amazon, the Allwood Cabin Chloe is a beautiful, high-quality, multi-purpose, cottage-style cabin.

“If you need more space, look for the offer on the sister model Claudia.”

It adds that the Chloe is a good place for hobbies, garden and pool tools, or as a pool house, beach house, or retail kiosk.

The website itself doesn’t list the cabin as a tiny house, and without plumbing, heating, and electricity, the cost of this cabin naturally increases for those hoping to convert it into permanent living space.

Customers have left mixed reviews of the DIY kit, with one giving it just one star out of five and another giving it top marks.

One noted that it’s “nothing more than a storage shed or small covered seating area with fancy looking windows and costs $9,000!

“This doesn’t include roofing and foundation materials, which could cost you about an additional $350.”

Meanwhile, the other reviewer said it was “fantastic, very durable and the material used is very strong” after purchasing it to build in the garden.

She added: “If you go on YouTube you can see the little building being assembled by yourself.

“The best part is that it’s much easier to DIY as long as you have 2-3 strong people.”
