I found a secret door in my house that leads to hundreds of love letters

A SECRET passage in a Virginia home leads to a heartwarming discovery.
Anna Prillaman loves spending time relaxing indoors with her dog, but when she bought her house, she didn’t know that her house was hiding a secret.
As she was cleaning out her home in Richmond in the spring, she found a control panel that led to a hidden section in her attic, the WTVR-TV. report.
It requires no key and is closed with a simple latch.
And in the secret room, she finds two boxes containing hundreds of handwritten letters addressed to a young woman named Betty Sue from a young man named Vance.
“There is no SMH or OMG or LOL. That’s the full sentence. The sentence is grammatically correct. It’s not that funny way of doing things,” Prillaman said.
Vance was smitten with Betty, whom he met at John Marshall High School, which Prillaman identified based on content.
Prillaman notes that the letters are written in cursive and are clearly part of a love story.
“Hi baby. How does my baby get along? When we’re not together, I just know the right words that I would use to tell you everything. But when we’re together , all I can think is ‘I love you.’ Vance,” the letter was read.
Prillaman felt reading these letters was an invasion of Vance and Betty’s privacy, but she couldn’t get rid of them.
So 70 years after the letters were written, she used social media to try to find a relative to deliver them to.
Within days, she found a promising lead within days.
She contacted Dalton Long, who lived 3,000 miles away in PortlandOregon.
Long, 30, confirmed that after a string of written correspondence, Vance and Betty eventually exchanged vows and were married.
He knows this because Vance and Betty are his grandparents, and have been married for 50 years
“For me, they are ‘B’ and Pop. But to the rest of the world, they are Betty McGhee Long and Vance Herschel Long,” Long told WTVR. “Adding words to that time in their lives would be incredible.”
Long grew up in Prillaman’s Virginia home, but never knew about the letters.
Long’s mother found a mailbox that would soon be sent to Long in Oregon.
