I found a message from my neighbor congratulating me on my new baby, but it turned out to be BRUTAL – I’m seething with anger

A WOMAN found a message from a neighbor congratulating her on a new baby – but it turned out to be brutal.

The mother-of-two shared the insensitive note she left on Mumsnet on her doorstep “overnight”.

The woman, who goes by the username AngryMumOfTwo, explained that she has lived in a privately rented apartment for four years and is raising two children.

Her youngest was born over Christmas last year and, like all newborns, sometimes cried at night but “isn’t that bad” compared to the eldest, who “cried a lot”.

“We get along with most of the people who live here. We are generally quiet and private, like all other residents,” the post said.

“Over 50 percent of them are elderly, although this is not a block of flats for the elderly. We are the youngest, but there are others who are not much older than us.”

But an angry resident disagreed, leaving her a rude message earlier this year.

“We don’t know who left the note. It’s obviously not signed. We have our suspicions, but that’s all,” she wrote.

“If they knocked on the door and talked to us, it wouldn’t be a problem.

“For your own sake, you better hope I don’t find out who it is. I am angry.

She added: “Residents we’ve spoken to over the last few days have said how lovely it is but no noise complaints.

“Our immediate neighbors and the lady directly below are nice people, so I don’t think they are.”

The note read: “Congratulations on your new baby. As this building is occupied by elderly residents we do not appreciate that you are only moving in to reproduce.

“Please silence your baby at night so the rest of us can sleep.”

Mumsnet users were disgusted by the note.

“You are a vile person,” one person wrote.

“Just mess up the note and leave it on the mat of the person you think wrote it and forget all about it!” suggested another.

“Rude and ridiculous enjoy your new baby and try to ignore it if you don’t like it move somewhere else,” wrote a third.
