I fought brutal Wagner troops for 10 hours straight – they came in waves like zombies, says a Ukrainian soldier

Shooting down elite Russian troops on Ukraine’s savage front is like watching a “zombie movie,” one battle-hardened soldier revealed.

Andriy, a soldier fighting near the eastern town of Bakhmut, recounted how an attack just “wouldn’t stop coming.”

From a front-line bunker, he told CNN, “They climb over the bodies of their friends and step on them.”

The relentless throngs of conscripts that rushed into battle a few weeks ago almost drove a Ukrainian machine gunner “crazy.”

He claimed it was because men from Putin’s private army, once shot, simply wouldn’t go under.

Some believe violent convicts thrown forward in the first waves of Wagner attacks are pumped with “drugs” to keep them on their feet.

In such attacks, up to “200” Russians rushed at units of only 30 Ukrainian soldiers.

Andriy crushed the conscripts as “just meat” who dig in once they’ve made about 30 meters of ground.

This allows Wagner’s elite units to follow up from behind and repeat the process over and over again.

The Wagner group, which numbers around 50,000 men, first emerged in eastern Ukraine in 2014 when Putin began supporting Russian separatists in the Donbass region.

The private paramilitary, which has since surfaced in conflicts in Syria and across Africa, was founded by Putin’s cronie Yevgeny Prigozhin.

Prigozhin, nicknamed “Putin’s chef,” recently boasted about turning rapists into “real cannibals” to fight in Ukraine.

Although it is not clear what the oligarch means by “real cannibals”, a real cannibal has joined the Russian mercenaries.

The twisted propaganda video, filmed at a training camp in Krasnodar, Russia, resembled one in which Prigozhin speaks to hundreds in a maximum-security penal colony in Mordovia.

When trying to hire them as recruits, he goes on to say that they would have to blow themselves up with grenades if they were captured by Ukrainians.

Murderers and sex offenders from some of Russia’s most notorious prison camps are among the volunteers signing up for Putin’s doomed war in Ukraine.

The prisoners are told that they will be offered their freedom and a personal pardon from Putin if they remain on the front lines in Ukraine for six months.
