He dumped Newcastle Brown Ale into half a Budweiser and was so impressed he ordered six more to try and repeat the trick.
Father-of-two Paul, a glazier, said: “I was stunned. It looked just like Casper.
“I stared at it for a few minutes and then just downed it.
“I didn’t feel guilty.
“It was a nice beer.
“I tried to recreate it, but it just didn’t happen.
“At some point I gave up because I picked up the snack too late.”
Paul was with his brother-in-law Martin Ridgway, 54, at the Colley Rowe Inn in Romford, East London.
Casper the Friendly Ghost made his animated debut in 1945.
He acted in a film in 1995 and most recently in Casper’s Scare School.
