I dated a Bumble match before being told he’d been arrested for horror crimes — and was still on the app

A GIRL FaceTimed someone she met on Bumble but found out he was allegedly arrested for assault before they could meet.
Ashleigh Voisin posted a video on TikTok sharing her dating horror on the online dating app.

The man in question dropped Voisin on Bumble and then they decided to FaceTime during Covid.
Two years later, she had found him on Bumble and was planning to set up a face-to-face meeting.
But after finding out they had a mutual friend, she decided to ask her about him.
Voisin had asked her friend if she should make the first move and talk to him again.

The friend had urged Voisin not to speak to the guy who claimed he had recently been arrested for “battery by strangulation”.
Voisin ended the video by saying, “Welcome to online dating.”
It is not clear who the person mentioned in the video is or if they really have a criminal record.
However, according to an email statement to Daily Dot, Bumble said the man in question was banned from the app when they were made aware of the situation.
Some commenters on the video shared their own dating nightmares.
One commenter said: “Oh! Was on a date and a girl comes while he is in the bathroom and shows me his arrest record!”
Bumble wasn’t the only one to explode in the comments section.
One commenter said: “One time I was looking for a guy I found with w on Hinge and found several articles about his arrest for arson.”
Singles in the comments section have either wanted background checks on their dates or have done away with online dating apps altogether.
