A mother expressed her disappointment at the fact that her 26-year-old daughter chose to get a tattoo on her arm, but people were not very sympathetic.
The mother explained that her daughter has gradually added to her tattoo collection but she feels the tattoo sleeve is terrible.
She told how her daughter’s choice of ink really moved her to tears.

“I hate them. She showed me her new ‘sleeve’ today. It’s big, dark black and horribly bloody.”

“She’s had a lot of tattoos and they’re getting bigger each time. She seems addicted.
“I don’t like tattoos. I don’t necessarily like them. It was my choice. I cried over it/her privately!
“I’ve read about parents’ reactions to our children’s tattoos. And we’re supposed to be glad they’re expressing themselves. But I’m struggling with that.
“I’m fine with a few, fine with all the piercings… but the sleeves are too far. In my opinion.”
Mumsnet users were quick to join in with their opinions on the situation.
One said: “At 26, I don’t really think it’s your business what she does with her body. You don’t have to like them but whether it’s ‘too far’ is up to you to decide. determined.”

But not everyone agrees with the grieving mother.
