TikToker @myerrrrrrrrrrr garnered 2.5 million views for the video.
“If you catch a guy on video with 1,000 worth of Legos at Target,” read the caption on the video’s screen.
“Crazy brother,” read the caption.
Many commentators on the video seemed to cheer the alleged theft.

One commenter said of the man, “He killed.”
Another asked the creator: “Why are you betraying brother?”
The creator made a second video to give more details about the alleged theft.
“I wanted to go into the Lego department because I’m obsessed with Lego,” the creator confessed.
She claims she saw the man toss a few Lego sets into his cart, including several of the same set.
The creator decided to take the shot when she became skeptical about the man in the aisle.
One commenter said of the second video: “I would have asked him to take a set for me and meet me, I’m out.”
Another said: “Can’t blame him for Lego being insanely expensive.”
One responded, citing the video as anecdotal evidence: “He’s the reason the Legos aren’t there [Kept behind] glass now”
Alleged theft at Target
Target has claimed an increase in thefts at its stores.
They have responded with intensive new security strategies.
Target CEO Brian Cornell said last November, “Along with other retailers, we have seen a significant increase in theft and organized retail crime across our business.”
According to Target’s latest publication, the company made $1 billion in the third quarter of 2022.
