‘I can’t land the wheel’

LEEDS UNITED star Luke Ayling has revealed that he tried to emulate Robbie Keane’s famous celebration after scoring against Wolves.
The former Tottenham and Ireland striker’s trademark was to spin, roll forward and shoot shotguns into the crowd.

But Ayling failed on the first step, with his messy wheel nearly resulting in injury.
Much of the celebration matched the away scenes and was the epitome of the entire game – including a red card and eight minutes of injury time in both halves.
After scoring a rare goal, Ayling happily tried to explain her celebration.
I said Sports sky: “I’ve been trying to do Robbie Keane but I can’t get the wheel down, which is a bit of a letdown – I’ll have to do it.”
Ayling, who was wearing the armband in place of the missing Kalvin Phillips, almost got Leeds’ first goal.
The right-back went up behind Wolves’ attack, brought the ball down extremely well and narrowly missed the post.
He followed the ball and his recovery effort was cleared off the line by Conor Coady before Jack Harrison’s shot.
But then he scored and proved himself a hero as Leeds trailed the relegation zone by seven points.

Leeds will need goals from every area of the team if they are to continue after Patrick Bamford has suffered another injury.
The striker has just returned from a long injury and was left in tears after being forced off the pitch after 20 minutes.
