While a traditional housing unit can cost more than $300,000, many tiny home gurus have built their tiny homes for between $10,000 and $100,000.
A man bought his unique tiny home for just $20,000 and it has everything he could imagine in a home.
On the YouTube channel Incredible Tiny Homes, Randy Jones shared how he created his home using several space-saving techniques.
He calls it the “Incredi Box” and it includes water, electricity, heating and more.

With a fully equipped kitchen, living space and bedroom, it offers everything an individual or couple could want from their home.
When you have a house this size you have to be a little creative.
This means you’ll need to look for extra storage space wherever you can find it.
Randy was also able to create an “extra” room with a Murphy bed and several multi-purpose surfaces, he said.
A Murphy bed hides your sleeping space by attaching the mattress to a slot in the wall with metal frames and springs.
The space is also built entirely on wheels, making it easier to move the living space to any desired location.
MORE TINY HOMES
If you are interested in creating your own tiny home, you should start by looking at many different stores.
These include outdoor stores Lowe’s and The Home Depot, but Amazon also has several units for sale.
Amazon sells a shed for just $3,350, and many buyers have been able to convert the unit into a tiny home.
The device is called Windemere and is manufactured by the Handy Home Products brand.
If you purchase the item, you will receive free delivery within two to three weeks.
It also comes ready to assemble.
And for a slightly higher price, you can buy an insulated tiny house on Amazon.
The 19 x 10 square foot home is priced at $7,679 and will ship within 10 days.
TIPS FOR TINY HOME
While tiny houses typically save money on upfront costs and rent, you often have to be responsible for finding and building your unit yourself.
The most common type of unit is either a shed or an RV, and both have advantages and disadvantages.
While RVs give you the flexibility to travel wherever you want, some city ordinances require them to only be parked in certain parking spaces for short periods of time.
Sheds also require that you know your state and county’s zoning laws, as you typically cannot live entirely in a shed on someone else’s property.
Remember that you are also responsible for providing all necessary plumbing and electrical installations.
You also need to make sure you have space for your tiny home.
This means you will probably have to look for properties to rent out.
Lots are regularly auctioned off on sites like Facebook Marketplace, or you can apply for lots in an established tiny home community.

Another couple pays just $200 a month for their tiny house and lives by the water.
A family of four also revealed how they live in a tiny house for just $100,000 in an area where $800,000 homes are the norm.
