Dilara has spent the last five months on a ventilator in the intensive care unit of a hospital in Izmir, western Turkey.
The 24-year-old suffered serious head injuries when a car collided with her motorcycle while she was on her way to a surprise family visit on New Year’s Eve.
Passenger Dilara – who was not wearing a crash helmet – crashed into the car’s windshield, suffering massive brain trauma and internal bleeding.
As it turned out later, the car driver named Isa E., 26, did not have a driver’s license at the time.

The driver was arrested after the accident and later released.
Dilara’s heartbroken mother Yasemin Aldanoglu said after the publication:
“I have pain. My daughter cannot speak or walk for days. Even the breath he takes is not his own.
“You shouldn’t drive with alcohol or without a license.
“You shouldn’t take your eyes off the road.
“The fire in me will never go away, but maybe it will cool down with time.
“It really hurts me that the driver was released while my daughter remains in this condition.”
Motorcyclist Sude Solak, wearing a crash helmet, left hospital after treatment with minor injuries.
Five months after the crash, Dilara is still on a ventilator and will likely need constant care for the rest of her life.
Although doctors told Yasemin that her daughter’s condition is unlikely to ever improve, she said: “There is a prediction that she will always need constant care.
“However, they say, ‘As long as there is life, there is hope,’ and I’m not going to give up hope either.”
