Hysterical fans as Nottingham Forest produce a HORRIBLE corner routine in Premier League return against Newcastle

Trying out a new set piece routine is nothing new in football.
But when it’s as bizarre as it was at Nottingham Forest yesterday, anything short of a goal is bound to see the effort trolled.

In fact, that’s exactly what happened after Forest’s rather terrifying performance at St James’ Park.
With Steve Cooper’s side trailing 1-0 and spending most of the game under pressure, the newly promoted team tried something new.
The routine saw every Forest player line up well outside the Newcastle box.
Then, as the free-kick was taken, five players rushed into the penalty area like mad.

Although Newcastle keeper Nick Pope, instead of planning their run to land at the bottom of the cross, sauntered off his line and nonchalantly plucked the ball from the air.
To make matters worse for Forest, it was hers ONLY Corner of the 2-0 defeat by Tyneside.
Fans on social media were in hysterics after seeing the shocking effort.
One wrote on Twitter: “Wtf was that?”

While another joked: “We’re playing too much FIFA now.”
And a third said: “I’ve watched this at least 10 times now and all I can think of is WHY?”
However, others pointed out that the tactic was a clever idea – and could have had a different result if the delivery had been better.
But in the end, Forest’s only corner of the game turned out to be a complete waste.
Although it leaves West Ham guessing when the Londoners visit the City Ground next week.
