Police are hunting for a gunman who shot dead a 16-year-old boy and wounded three others in a rampage near a hotel swimming pool.
Police say the shooting broke out Wednesday night at the Quality Inn in Aurora, Colorado.
Two women, 19 and 20 years old, were taken to the hospital with serious injuries.
A fourth person was also injured but is expected to survive.
None of those involved in the shooting have been named.
The circumstances surrounding the moments before the gunfire broke out are still unclear.

Officers are currently hunting for the killer, who they say has fled the scene.
Police said in a statement they were called to reports “of a shooting inside the hotel, near the pool” shortly after 7pm.
They added: “When officers arrived, they discovered a 16-year-old male with an obvious gunshot wound.
“Tragically, the minor was pronounced dead at the scene.”
