Hunt for “kidnappers who kidnapped 15-year-old girl from basketball game before her nude photos were posted online by traffickers”

NEW details have emerged in the manhunt for kidnappers who allegedly kidnapped a 15-year-old girl from a basketball game before nude photos of her were posted online.

A statement from a law firm representing the victim’s family was released on Friday, providing more information about the girl’s kidnapping.

According to the statement, the American Airlines Center, where the alleged incident took place, allowed family attorney Zeke Fortenberry to view surveillance footage from the night the girl disappeared.

The girl was abducted from a Dallas Mavericks game she attended with her father on April 8, 2022.

She had left her seat and told her father that she was going to the bathroom in the second quarter and had never returned.

“The victim’s family now understands that a person of interest entered the AAC with two acquaintances on three valid tickets for upper-level seats,” the statement said.

“After entering the AAC, these three individuals met with a former Dallas Mavericks employee who escorted them to a suite where they did not have valid tickets.”

According to a statement, the suite was above where the victim and her father were sitting.

The person of interest and the other two acquaintances were in the suite for an hour and only left after the girl left her seat to use the restroom.

“The victim and the person of interest walked on the main hall level and passed each other,” the statement said, but it is not known what was said between the victim and the person of interest.

After their brief interaction, the victim turned to catch up with the person of interest, and she left the area just minutes later.

The girl’s father began searching for her halfway through and informed AAC staff that his daughter was missing.

Employees and security on site searched for the girl until 10:45 a.m. and informed the father that his daughter was no longer at the property.

“Over an hour after the father reported her missing, the victim, the person of interest and a second person of interest walk around the AAC grounds and parking garages before completely exiting the area,” the statement said Explanation.

The family lawyer believes that there was no prior communication between the girl and the individual before entering the area.

“Inside the AAC when the victim was

at her seat and the person of interest was in the suite, we don’t know if there was any communication between them.”

The girl was eventually found alive at an Extended Stay America Hotel in Oklahoma City on April 18.

The person of interest has still not been identified and the family is asking anyone with information to contact the Fortenberry company.

ONLINE TRAFFICKERS

After the girl was kidnapped, nude photos of human traffickers were posted online.

Saniya Alexander, Melissa Wheeler, Chevaun Gibson, Kenneth Nelson, Sarah Hayes, Karen Gonzales, Thalia Gibson and Steven Hill have been arrested in connection with the alleged crimes.

Nelson, Hayes and Gonzales have been charged with human trafficking and distributing child pornography, Fox News Digital reported.

Nelson, a known sex offender, had a different-name ID card that he used to rent the hotel rooms in Oklahoma City, reports KIII-TV.

Gonzales is accused of illegally taking photos of the teenager.

Hayes reportedly admitted to investigators that she saw the photos being taken and later posted them in the online sex ads.

Hill has been charged with rape while the others are pending arrest warrants.

Fortenberry said that despite pleas from the girl’s family, Dallas police never opened a case into the alleged kidnapping.

“My daughter went missing in Dallas, this is a Dallas case, but they refused to open a case for her,” the girl’s father said.

However, police told Fox News Digital that an officer was searching for the missing teenager the night she disappeared.

The department did not go ahead with the investigation, citing a Texas Family Code and stating that “missing youth will be investigated as runaways except in circumstances that appear involuntary, such as abduction or kidnapping.”

“These cases per code must be filed where the juvenile is located,” the department told Fox News Digital.

The Oklahoma City Police Department arrested those involved in the alleged crime.
