I speak in a new bonus episode of the hit A&E documentaries Playboy SecretsTheodore says she cut ties with Hefner and never returned to his home because of her fear for Katie.

Theodore, 65, recently made headlines after detailing how Hefner drugged girls, held group sex sessions and disturbingly admired Charles Manson in earlier episodes of the docuseries.

The former Playmate centerfold reveals that the public’s claims have helped her family understand her long-term trauma.

But she felt “chewed up and spat out” after hundreds of former Hefner employees and lovers signed an open letter denouncing the allegations against Hefner, who died in 2017 at the age of 91.

In the upcoming episode, former model Theodore revealed that after their five-year romance with Hefner, she remained friends with him as she married his business partner Ray Manzella.

She shared how she and other former Bunnies would attend the Playboy Mansion for family days with their spouses and children.

But Theodore says she freaked out when Hefner, back in his 70s, started courting Katie at one of the meetings.

Theodore said: “I saw him indoctrinating my daughter.
“He never touched her, but I would have killed him. Same (like me), he comes in and chooses her and makes her feel special.

“And I would say, ‘You can’t have her. Do not touch her’.”
Sobbing, she added, “Yes, because if he touched her, I would have just died.”

Theodore explained that she hadn’t spoken out about Hefner earlier because it would mean admitting to her daughter Katie and son Taylor that “the fairy tale turned into a nightmare.”

“So many people have relied on this fairy tale, including my own children,” said the former model.

“My daughter grew up watching shows these pictures I thought I was a princess.”

The former model went on to explain that speaking up about the abuse she suffered at Hefner’s hands helped her children understand and move on.

She said, “They finally came to at the end of the documentary when their father said, ‘Hef wasn’t always a good guy, he did some bad things to your mother.’

“That was the moment where she (Katie) was able to let go of the fairy tale too.

“That was a big turning point for us — for my kid to accept it.”

Livid Theodore also reached out to the critics who wrote the letter denouncing the documentary’s claims.

She said she was considering shooting back at her online after losing lifelong friends and feeling like she had gone into “self-exile”.

The letter states: “From what we know of Hef, he was a person of genuine character, exceptional kindness and a dedication to free thinking.

“He’s committed to living an honest life above all else.

“Our time at Hugh Hefner’s Playboy and the organization’s subsidiaries remains a time dear to all of us.”

Commenting on the letter, Theodore said: “The warrior in me wanted to write back and leave, are you kidding me?

“That will play out and by the end of the document they will see the whole picture and come to their own truth – and they have to respect mine.

“No one can tell you that your story is a lie. It’s not her story. I am bringing part of the story to light.”

Following the release of the original 10 episodes of Secrets of Playboy in January, the company distanced itself from its founder in an open letter.

It said: “The Hefner family is no longer affiliated with Playboyand today’s Playboy is not Hugh Hefner’s Playboy.

“We will continue to address any parts of our legacy that don’t reflect our values today and build on the progress we’ve made as we develop as a company so we can drive positive change for you and our communities.”

but Hefner’s son Cooper jumped to his defense, tweeting: “Some may not approve of the life my father chose, but my father was no liar.
