How to play Windtrace in Genshin Impact: Rebels and Hunters simplified

Windtrace is an interesting hide-and-seek event in Genshin Impact 2.4. Since this is a rerun event, veteran players should have no problem beating the game, be it Rebels or Hunters. However, new players may have difficulty understanding the rules and how to win the game.

Windtrace runs from January 13 to January 27, giving players two weeks to enjoy the limited-time event. Players can only participate in Windtrace if they have achieved an Adventure Rank of 20 or higher in Genshin Impact.

The player can initiate a Windtrace match by talking to Gygax, located northeast of Favonius’ Knights Headquarters in Mondstadt. One can then form a custom Co-Op team or choose a Co-Op Mode to randomly mix with other players.

The aim of the game is to collect Windtrace Coins, but note that these coins can only be obtained playing in random games using the combo function. If gamers use a custom party, they can still play, but won’t win any Windtrace Coins.

2) Randomly play as Rebel or Hunter

There are two factions in Windtrace: Rebels and Hunters. Rebels’ mission in the game is to move and hide to avoid Hunters until the time allotted. Meanwhile, Hunter’s job is to capture all the rebels within the allotted time.

Three-on-one doesn’t sound fair, but Hunter could easily win the game if they did it all right things when the game starts. The same thing happens with Rebels – they can win the game without getting caught if they have the correct strategy in the preparation time.

In addition to the random factions, participants will also be thrown into one of the above Dispute Zones that have been unlocked. Each slot can be opened by activating Seven Statues, located in the respective event zones.

3) Complete the game to win Windtrace Coins

As long as one person completes the match, win or lose, they get Windtrace Coins, as long as they play against a random team.

The Hunter’s Wind Arts are also not to be underestimated, as they have more skills to choose from. With the given Arts, Hunter will have an easier time chasing three rebels.
