How to apply for a Platinum Jubilee ticket

The Queen is preparing to celebrate her 70th anniversary on the throne – and the nation will be right behind her.
Among the Platinum Year activities is a four-day Bank holiday weekend scheduled for the first week of June with a portfolio of events for Britons to take part in.
What are the events of the Platinum Jubilee Year?
ONE National Pudding CompetitionThe Jubilee Lunch and the Birthday Parade are some of the events taking place this year to mark Queenof a reign that spanned seven decades.
The May Bank Holiday Weekend – which usually falls at the end of the month – will be moved to Thursday, June 2, followed by an additional Friday, June 3.
Buckingham Palace said in a statement: “The four days of celebration will include public events and community activism, as well as national moments that reflect the Queen’s 70 years of service.”
Pudding Contest
Entries for the giant pudding competition, hosted by Fortnum & Mason, opened on January 10, 2022.
It will see competitors aged eight and up try to craft the perfect dessert for the Platinum Pudding campaign.
The winning formula chosen by the judges Dame Mary BerryMonica Galetti, and the chef at Buckingham Palace, will be released to the public for enjoyment as part of celebrations this year and for “generations to come”.
The last date for entries is February 4, 2022, and the live final will be on March 14, 2022.
Trooping the Colour
The Jubilee weekend will begin with a bang when the Queen’s Birthday Parade – officially known as the Trooping the Colour – is held.
Soldiers, horses and musicians will join together for a “great display of military precision, equestrian ability, and fanfare” to mark the event.
More than 1,500 towns, villages and cities across the UK, and individual Commonwealth capitals, will also join the fun.
But the main activity will be in central London, where the flag-waving crowds will line the Mall from Buckingham Palace and down to the Mall for the Horse Guard parade.
And the display will end with a flyover of the RAF watched by members of the Royal Family from the Palace balcony.
Green canopy
Another event of the Platinum Jubilee Year, Your Majesty’s Green Canopywill see thousands of trees planted in honor of the Queen.
Each planting is recorded on the digital map of Queen’s Green Canopy.
Platinum Jubilee Beacons
More than 1,500 beacons will be lit across the UK, Channel Islands, Isle of Man and UK Overseas Territories.
Symbols will also be lit in each Commonwealth capital city.
Platinum Party at the Palace
On Saturday, June 4, the BBC will host a huge Platinum Party at the Palace.
It will be a live concert bringing together some of the world’s biggest entertainers to celebrate the most important moments from the Queen’s reign.
Platinum Jubilee Pageant
Performers, dancers, musicians, military personnel, key workers and volunteers will unite to tell the story of the Queen’s 70-year reign in a festival of creativity.
This will take place on Sunday, June 5, 2022.
A key part of the event will be the ‘River of Hope’ section, which will see 200 silk flags descending on the Mall like moving water.
Thanksgiving
A ceremony of thanksgiving for the Queen’s reign will take place on Thursday, June 2, 2022.
It will be at St Paul’s Church.
Big Lunch in the Jubilee
Meanwhile, every year Big lunch will bring communities above and below the country together for their own commemorative street parties on June 5.
More than 1,400 groups have decided to participate, signing up for a full package of special event tips through the Big Lunch website.
How to apply for a Platinum Jubilee ticket
Applications for the Trooping the Color 2022 ticket opened on January 17.
They will be allotted by one vote due to high interest, and applications must be made through Military website in January and February 2022.
The public can also get tickets to other Platinum Year events.
The vote for the people of the UK to secure thousands of audience tickets for the Platinum Party at the Palace will be launched in February.
Ahead of the main Jubilee weekend, several members of the Royal Family will attend a special celebration at the Windsor Horse Show, which will run from 12 May to 15 May 2022.

How do I view events during the Platinum Jubilee?
All events leading up to four day weekend Bank Holidayas well as the Platinum Jubilee itself, which will be broadcast on television.
Both the BBC and ITV are expected to cover the celebration.
ITV will broadcast the Windsor Horse Show May 12-15, where more than 500 horses and 1,000 performers are expected to take part in the Platinum Jubilee Celebration.
