How Some States Are Doing New $1,000 Stimulus Tests

SOME states are handing out new $1,000 stimulus checks to jump-start the economy and help people.
Stimulus checks were a financial relief for many during the Covid-19 pandemic and now the helping hand is back.
In at least seven states, you and your family may be eligible for new stimulus testing.
This stimulus check is not the fourth federal stimulus check, but rather a stimulus test sent by state governments that have passed legislation.
Here are the states that are offering stimulus checks, like the first report by Fortune.
California
If you live in California, you can get a stimulus check for $1,100 per Golden State Stimulus II plan.
You may qualify if you have California adjusted gross income of up to $75,000 in 2020, you filed your taxes in 2020, you live in California for at least half of 2020, no one else claims you as a dependent and if you are a California resident on the date your stimulus check is paid.
Florida
If you live in Florida, you can get a stimulus check of up to $1,000 and first responders, including police, firefighters, paramedics, EMTs and others eligible.
This one-time stimulus check is in recognition of their selfless sacrifice during the pandemic.
Teachers and principals will also be eligible for a one-time $1,000 disaster relief payment.
Georgia
If you live in Georgia, teachers and principals are eligible for a one-time $1,000 stimulus check.

Maine
If you live in Maine, you can get a stimulus check for up to $285 if you were a full-year resident of Maine last year and you filed your 2020 Maine taxes by October 31, 2021.
Additionally, your federal adjusted gross income for 2020 taxes needs to be less than $150,000 if married filing jointly, or if you’re a qualifying widow or widower, $112,500 if filing with head of household, or $75,000 if single or married filing separately.
Throughout 2020, no one can claim you as a dependent.
Maryland
In Maryland, you could be one of 400,000 Marylanders who will receive stimulus checks of up to $300 for individuals and up to $500 for families.
For this, you need to be a Maryland resident and have filed the Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC).
The income threshold is $50,954 ($56,844 married jointly) with three or more qualifying children, $47,440 ($53,330 married jointly) with two qualifying children, $41,756 ($47,646 married) filing jointly) with one qualifying child and $15,820 ($21,710 married filing jointly) with no qualifying children.
Michigan
For Michigan, you can get a stimulus check of up to $285 if you are a licensed child care provider, including licensed child care centers, family homes, and group homes, Tribal-based child care or the Head Start and Great Start Ready Program (GSRP) programs also offer tuition-based child care.
You may be able to provide child care on the day of your application, or your service is closed due to the Covid-19 pandemic emergency.
This is a non-competitive grant for child care providers to help stabilize operations and support the health and safety of children and staff and you can apply at www. michigan.gov/childcare.
New Mexico
If you live in New Mexico, you can get a stimulus check for up to $750 if you don’t qualify for federal pandemic stimulus payments, you don’t receive your economic relief payment. the state of New Mexico in July 2021 and you must be a New Mexico Resident.
You must have a valid New Mexico driver’s license number, a personal taxpayer identification number, or a social security number.
Tennessee
In Tennessee, full-time teacher qualify for a $1,000 pay for risk test.
Part-time teachers may be eligible for up to $500 in risk pay.
New Year’s surprise stimulus test is also sent next week but some Americans are being warned to take urgent steps to secure a $1,000 payment.
