And those with birthdays between the 21st and 31st will see their benefits on Wednesday, February 23.
People on Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) generally follow the same schedule, as long as they start claiming after 1997, the Social Security Administration has confirmed to The Sun.
Americans began to receive Benefits of SSDI in 1997 or before receiving payment on the 3rd of every month.
When the third person arrives on a weekend or an eligible holiday, the recipient will receive their benefit on the previous bank day.
You will need to wait to resolve your issues with SSA
If you have a different experience concerns or delays regarding your SSI or SSDI payments, you will need to wait for them to be resolved.
If your delay is due to a change in personal information, such as a bank account or address, call your local SSA office or 1–800–772–1213.
SSA’s normal business hours are Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., but offices will not be open on Presidents Day.
Some SSA offices have seen a slowdown. If you experience other delays, the SSA recommends waiting three business days for your check to arrive – and remember that the US Postal Service is closed on Presidents Day.
After that date, you should call the SSA.
If you have reason to believe that your Social Security check has been stolen, you should contact the SSA office immediately.
Other Presidents End Dates Need to Know
Presidents Day is considered a federal holiday.
Federal employees have the day off and federal offices closed to mark the occasion.
Schools are closed on Presidents Day, and USPS closes post offices and does not deliver deliveries.
The New York Stock Exchange and NASDAQ are also closed for trading on Presidents Day.
And because most banks follow holiday schedule of the Federal Reserve System, most banks, including Bank of America, Chase and Wells Fargo banking locations, will close.
