How old is Archie?

Baby Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor was born at Portland Hospital in London on May 6, 2019 – so he’s three years old.

He is the first child of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle and was christened with water from the River Jordan in the private chapel at Windsor Castle exactly two months after his birth.

Archie is seventh in line to the throne and eighth great-grandson of Queen Elizabeth II.

Two days later, Meghan and Harry were beaming as they publicly introduced their “amazing” baby boy to the world at 12:40pm on May 8, 2019.

A few hours after the couple announced the baby’s name – Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor.

The new parents seemed tired but delighted as they held the newborn in their arms, while the giddy bearded dad joked to Harry that his son “already has facial hair”.

They kept him wrapped in a white blanket and hat while they talked about their little boy.

Is Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor a king?

Archie is a member of the royal family and entitled to a royal title from birth.

But Meghan and Harry have opted against giving him one, so in line with their desire to grow up privately, he will be raised as Master Archie Mountbatten-Windsor.

He is entitled to bear his father’s subsidiary title Earl of Dumbarton and become Lord Archie, The Earl of Dumbarton.

According to a patent issued by King George V in 1917, Mountbatten-Windsor is entitled to become a prince upon the accession of his grandfather, Charles, Prince of Wales.

In the interview, Oprah with Meghan and Harry, the Duchess said she had been told changes would be made to reverse that claim.

She suggested it was because her son is multiracial – but the Prince of Wales’ plans for a downsized royal family, limited to the direct heirs and their children, date back to the 1990s.

How old is Lilibet and when was she born?

Lilibet Diana Mountbatten-Windsor was born on June 4th, 2021 – which means she just turned one year old.

Prince Harry and Megan Markle’s second child was born on June 4, 2021 at 11:40 a.m. at Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital in Santa Barbara, California.

Her birth, along with her name, was announced two days later.

The little girl was first introduced to Her Majesty in June 2022.

Is Lilibet a princess?

Lilibet Mountbatten-Windsor is the eleventh great-granddaughter of Queen Elizabeth II and is eighth in line to the British throne and the most senior person in the current line of succession to be foreign-born.

As a male great-granddaughter rather than a monarch’s granddaughter, she is not a princess.

But according to the Letters Patent issued by King George V in November 1917, she would have the right to become a princess upon the accession of her grandfather, Charles, Prince of Wales.

Instead, daughters of dukes are entitled to the courtesy title “dame” before their given names.

However, just like her older brother Archie, Lilbet is unlikely to use her title — at least as long as she lives in the US.
