What is THON?

In 2022, THON celebrates 50 years of operation.

Formerly known as the Penn State IFC / Panhellenic Dance Marathon, THON is the world’s largest student-led charity.

Every February, the event takes place at the Bryce Jordan Center on the University Park campus in Pennsylvania.

The rules of THON are simple – participants stand for 48 hours straight and do a rope dance at least once an hour to stay awake.
