Regarding her musical background and how she came to be herself as an artist, Lulu told PEOPLE, “We used to come up with songs when we were walking through Central Park or in the bathtub.

“We’ve always just written music. I used to literally go into my bathroom and turn on the water and play the guitar and sing very quietly.

“I wasn’t ready for people in my family to know I was making music because I wanted to be sure of what I was doing.

“It was difficult at first because I didn’t know how the kind of music I was writing would translate naturally into pop.”
