How long will Josh Duggar stay in prison?
Arkansas Judge Timothy L. Brooks sentenced Josh Duggar to 151 months — the equivalent of about 12.5 years — in prison.
In 2021, he was charged with two counts of downloading and possession of child pornography.
Prosecutors asked that Duggar receive the maximum sentence of 20 years in prison, while his legal team asked for just five years in prison before the trial.
Since the verdict, Duggar has been in the Washington County Jail and will soon be transferred to federal prison.

Duggar, who pleaded not guilty, was accused of possessing sickly pictures of CSAM that were “the worst of the worst” authorities had ever seen.
How did Josh Duggar’s wife react to his verdict?
According to a reporter from The Sun, Josh Duggar was “watery-eyed but not crying” when the judge announced the verdict in December 2021.
The reporter noted that Duggar was “celebratory.”
Duggar told his wife, Anna Duggar, that he loved her.
His father, Jim Bob, hugged Anna after the sentencing.
Anna appeared on 19 Kids And Counting, which ran for seven years from 2008 to 2015 before the network canceled it.
The show was one of TLC’s most popular, averaging 2.3 million viewers per new episode during Season 10.
Duggar and Anna married on September 26, 2008 after meeting at a homeschooling conference in 2006.
Their courtship rules included no physical contact until engagement and no time alone as a couple until marriage, as discussed in the 19 Kids And Counting episode “Duggar Dating Rules.”
What did Josh Duggar’s family say about his trial?
Jill Duggar and her husband Derick exclusively told The Sun at the time of the trial that they “hope justice will be done” after Duggar was arrested on two counts of child pornography.
For the first time since Duggar’s arrest, Jill said: “We are very saddened by the whole thing; it’s terrible.
“It’s all very sad.”
Derick added: “If there is anything related to child pornography, of course we hope justice is done.
“I don’t think anyone supports child pornography.”
He added: “We are sad for Anna; put yourself in their situation and imagine how you would feel if this happened to your family member.

“I can imagine that it will be really difficult.”
Putting aside the current charges he was found guilty of, the media revealed a few years ago that Duggar was accused of molesting several underage girls – including four of his sisters – when he was 14 and 15 years old.
