How killer Chris Scarver beat Jeffrey Dahmer to death with a metal bar until his skull collapsed in “revenge for the victims.”

EVIL serial killer Jeffrey Dahmer suffered a fate similar to that of his victims, who saw him violently murdered in prison by a fellow inmate.

Dahmer, who slaughtered 17 men and boys between 1978 and 1991, was sentenced to life in prison in February 1992 at Columbia Correctional Institution in Wisconsin.

But the Milwaukee killer’s sentence would be short.

On November 28, 1994, Dahmer was beaten to death by fellow inmate Christopher Scarver, who had arrived at the prison at a similar time to the serial killer.

After guards left Scarver alone with Dahmer and another convicted killer, Jesse Anderson, for about 20 minutes, he hit the pair with a 20-inch metal bar he had taken from the prison’s gym.

Dahmer’s head was also repeatedly smashed against the wall during the attack.

The serial killer died an hour after being discovered from his injuries.

Scarver, who is serving a life sentence for a separate murder, later explained why he exacted such gruesome revenge.

After calmly returning to his prison cell, he said to a guard, “God told me to do it. Jesse Anderson and Jeffrey Dahmer are dead.”

Although he firmly believed that he had not planned the murders in advance, Scarver later told investigators that he had hidden the 20-inch iron bar, which was taken from the weight rooms, in his clothing just prior to the attacks.

Scarver told the New York Post in 2015 how Dahmer taunted other inmates by shaping his food to look like different body parts and using ketchup for blood.

“He would put them in places where people would be,” Scarver said at the time. “He crossed the line with some people – prisoners, prison staff.

“Some people who are in prison are repentant – but he wasn’t one of them.”

Scarver, who arrived at the prison around the same time as Dahmer, said the twisted killer always had a personal escort of at least one warden after a series of “heated interactions” with other inmates.

But he never interacted with the mass murderer until the day of the shock murder.

Scarver had in his pocket a newspaper article detailing how Dahmer had killed, dismembered and in some cases eaten 17 men and boys, many of them from minority ethnic and LGBT backgrounds.

On that fateful day in November 1984, Dahmer, then 34, was unleashed by correctional officers along with Scarver and Jesse Anderson to clean the bathrooms.

Scarver, then 25, had just fetched his mop and was filling a bucket with water when someone poked him in the back.

“I turned and [Dahmer] and Jesse were kind of laughing to themselves,” he recalled. “I looked them straight in the eye and couldn’t tell who did it.”

Scarver then followed Damher to a staff locker room and snatched a metal bar from the weight room.

He confronted Dahmer with the note in his pocket.

“I asked him if he did those things because I was deeply disgusted,” Scarver said. “He was shocked. Yes, he was.”

As Dahmer tried to escape through a door, Scarver blocked the exit.

He smashed the metal rod into Dahmer’s skull twice, crushing him.

Scarver then went in search of Anderson – who was serving a life sentence for the 1992 murder of his wife – and suffered the same grisly fate as Dahmer.

He later claimed he believed the prison guards left him alone with Dahmer on purpose because they knew he hated him and wanted her dead.

Scarver said he saw the guards leave just before he carried out the murders.

After initially pleading insanity in the murders, Scarver later changed his plea to “no contest” in exchange for a transfer to a federal prison.

Scarver was already serving a life sentence for killing a former colleague in a 1990 robbery.

In April 2015, he released a novel from prison entitled God Seed: Poetry of Christopher J Scarver.

His story features in the new Netflix limited series Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story about Dahmer’s crimes.
