‘How can you do that?’ – Erling Haaland with double loss of season as he overwhelms Man City draw in Forest

FANS trolled Erling Haaland for his double miss of the season as Manchester City dropped crucial points in the title race.

It was a frustrating day for the Norwegian and his team-mates as Chris Wood grabbed a late leveler for Nottingham Forest at the City Ground.

But the forward knows he should have sealed all three points and sent his side back to the top of the Premier League table.

The 22-year-old Haaland had a great chance to make it 2-0 in the middle of the second half.

Forest goalkeeper Keylor Navas spilled Phil Foden’s shot from the edge of the box and slammed the ball out for Haaland from eight yards out.

But he volleyed his volley down the grass and against the bar, leaving the goal at his mercy.

Incredibly, the ball rebounded to the former Borussia Dortmunder, who controlled with his waist and then spooned another left foot shot that sailed over.

And supporters flooded social media with hilarious comments in response to the bug.

One said: “What a miss from Haaland, how can you miss that footer?”

Another wrote: “Haaland just missed an absolute sitter. He’s human, after all.”

A third added: “The only question here is how on earth did Haaland miss that?

And a fourth wrote: “This missed shot by Haaland could end up costing City the league.”

Haaland’s failure to score his 26th Premier League goal of that incredible debut season and City scoring just one of their 23 shots meant Arsenal gained two points over their title rivals.

The Gunners needed an injury-time own goal from former goalkeeper Emi Martinez to come twice from behind and beat Aston Villa.

That was after captain Martin Odegaard missed an absolute sitter as Eddie Nketiah put the ball on a plate so he could finish it.

But there was undoubtedly a huge sigh of relief on the Arsenal team bus heading back to north London as international team-mate and close friend Haaland went one step further.
