Horror video shows Doline the woman, 70, swallowed in her own front yard – and it gets worse when two men rush in to save her

HORRIBLE safety footage captured the moment an elderly woman fell into a 6ft sinkhole in a shocking incident.

The 70-year-old woman from Long Island, New York, fell into the hole while trying to leave her home last Thursday.

The shocking moment was captured on video by a nearby ring doorbell security system.

Black and white footage shows the woman walking through her front door. A second camera shot shows her falling quickly out of frame.

Fox News reported that a police officer and a bystander also fell down the hole after trying to pull the woman out. The two men were in their sixties.

A public information officer for the Suffolk County Police Department confirmed that police arrived at the scene after being briefed on the incident.

“Officers with the Suffolk County Police Department 2nd Circuit responded at 6:07 a.m. on January 26 at 62 West 10th St., Huntington Station after reporting a woman trapped in a hole in the ground,” they reported .

Luckily, the first responders were all able to successfully dig them out of the sinkhole.

However, the elderly woman and one of the injured men were taken to Huntington Hospital. The third victim was not injured.

Officers who arrived at the scene confirmed that the sinkhole was approximately two meters wide and deep.

According to the Department of the Interior’s US Geological Survey (USGS), sinkholes are caused when there is “no natural external surface drainage.”

A local building inspector was called to assess the property and determine what caused the disaster.
