Horror reason revealed after man ‘fatally shot ex-girlfriend 15 times as she went to work’

THE horror reason a man reportedly shot his ex-girlfriend fifteen times as she went to work has been revealed.

Carlos Lemont Jones, 23, has been arrested in Melbourne, Florida for the brutal murder of his former partner, 23-year-old Sha’Dayla Johnson.

Police said the man confessed to shooting his Johnson in the back after she refused to return his calls and texts following their split.

Investigators said Jones woke up upset Tuesday after realizing she hadn’t replied to him and decided to confront her while she was on her way to work, reports WFTV.

Court documents show that he drove to Johnson’s home on Colbert Circle and shot her dead before stripping off her clothes and throwing his gun down a manhole.

The woman’s father later told police he looked out the window after hearing a series of gunshots and spotting Jones behind Johnson’s car.

He said he found his daughter lying face down in a pool of her own blood on the ground.

Police said: “Sha’Dayla appeared to have multiple gunshot wounds on the back of her body, suggesting that she was shot while walking or running away from the perpetrator.

Although she was taken to Holmes Regional Medical Center, she could not be saved, according to CB12.

Jones later turned himself in to the Palm Bay Police Department on his mother’s advice.

He reportedly showed no remorse and told police if he had to do it again, he would kill Johnson’s father as well.

Police said Johnson and Jones had been in a relationship for five months and had been living together until their split two weeks before the shooting.

Jones was arrested and charged with first-degree first-degree murder with a firearm and using a firearm in the commission of a felony.

He is being held without bond in Brevard County.

His first court appearance was Wednesday and his arraignment is scheduled for January 19, 2023.
