The Sun Online chose not to share the video out of respect for Ms Rodden and her family.

But a still from the sickening clip captures the moment the ride hurtles towards them.

The 26-year-old was pulled up 30 feet and thrown into the air in front of shocked visitors from the Rebel Coaster in Melbourne, Australia.

She sustained several serious injuries, including multiple fractures, and is in a coma in intensive care.

Her family has called the Melbourne Royal Show “shameful” for reopening the ride two days after the accident.

And her distraught father, Alan Rodden, has claimed his daughter was solely responsible for the tragedy could be evidence of a “cover-up”.

He told the Daily Mail Australia: “There are many stories going around and I don’t know which ones are true and if anyone is covering their tracks.”

Ever since the family made these claims against the show, they have been targeted with abuse from online trolls.

One woman wrote: “And so it was set to reopen why even try to get your phone when the coaster was in operation. Stupid mistake of the girl.”

Another user commented: “You can’t blame anyone else but the woman who was hurt.

“It was her decision to try and retrieve it while the ride was still going.”

Someone else said: “Why would she grab her phone when the ride was still going? That’s stupid.”

Ms Rodden’s sister Caisha said “misinformation” only “disturbed” and aggravated her family’s grief.

Hitting back at trolls, she said: “Shylah actually worked there.

“She was helping out her friend at her stall that day and she was sent on her break with another worker and they decided to do a few trips to kill time and unfortunately that’s what happened.

“She is in critical condition and we won’t know until later today as we speak to police and take some eyewitness testimony.”

Speaking about his daughter’s wounds, Mr Rodden said: “The injuries are terrible. Dreadful.

“She’s brain damaged. It’s pelvis, her arms, legs, back, neck – there’s hardly anything that isn’t broken.

“Of course I can’t talk to my daughter. She’ll be in a coma for a while.

“I just can’t understand how the hell so much damage was done.

“Even the doctors said they hadn’t seen anything this bad in a long time.”

The show’s spokesperson, Katie Scanlan, said in a statement: “The safety and well-being of our viewers of the show remains our top priority.

“Strict safety protocols are followed in line with Victorian WorkSafe regulations.

“All on-site rides have undergone rigorous compliance testing and passed all required safety documentation.”

Nathan Sanders, 18, who worked at the show on September 25, said he saw something fall into his periphery and heard a scream.

The eyewitness said: “My friend and I were like, ‘What the hell was that?

“They acted pretty quickly, they put up the cordon pretty quickly and then an ambulance came down and the crowd gathered around them and they started pushing people away and saying nothing happened… but at the end of the day you want to.” you obviously don’t use it to scare people.

“There were huge crowds.”

Another eyewitness said: “She flew off the ride, loud bang. Followed by a scream and a very loud bang as it hit the ground.”

A stallholder at the show said she heard the roller coaster squeak to a sudden stop as people started screaming.

“The screaming was so loud. I think everyone must have been really scared,” she told The Herald Sun.

“The ride went up quite normally, then there were screams, then it stopped and stayed like that forever.”

Passengers on the roller coaster at the time were reportedly stranded in the air for several hours during the ride.

Witnesses were asked to contact the police immediately.
