A masked gang stormed a remote farmhouse where a five-year-old boy slept and made off with loot of five guns and jewelry worth more than £200,000.

Police are chasing the gang of five men who terrorized a 55-year-old woman at the property after boarding through an upstairs window.

Concerned investigators said among the stolen items was a gun cabinet containing three rifles, two shotguns and a quantity of ammunition.

Police were called to the remote farmhouse in Eynsham, Oxfordshire, just before 9.30pm on Friday after the gang fled the scene in two cars.

A spokesman for Thames Valley Police said on Sunday evening: “We are releasing CCTV images as part of a witness call following a serious break-in at a family home.

“On Friday between 9.10pm and 9.20pm a group of five men broke into a farmhouse in a remote area of ​​Eynsham.

“A 55-year-old woman was at home at the time with a five-year-old girl who was sleeping upstairs. The other residents of the property were not there at the time.

“The group of perpetrators entered the house through an upstairs window and then forced the victim to lie on the floor while they searched the house.

“During this search they caused damage to property before stealing around £200,000 worth of items.

“These items included a gun cabinet containing three rifles, two shotguns and ammunition, as well as jewelry and handbags.

“They also stole the victim’s cell phone and car, a blue Nissan Juke with partial registration WU69.

“The perpetrators then left the scene in that vehicle and a dark colored coupe, possibly an Audi S5 or A5.

“No one was injured in this incident.”

Investigating officer, Detective Sergeant Simon Pond, who is stationed at Banbury Police Station, said: “This was an extremely distressing incident for the victim and the rest of the family who were not present during the burglary, particularly as it was during a occurred toddler slept.

“We have launched a thorough investigation and believe the perpetrators may be linked to the sighting of a man at the property on January 9th.

“If you have any information regarding this burglary or any other information that you think may assist our complaint, please contact us on 101.

“This could be sightings of the Nissan Juke or information about the items stolen.
