Horror as a man was killed and a woman left seriously injured after a car ran into pedestrians in Sedgley

A MAN has died and a woman has been seriously injured after being hit by a car last night.

The couple were walking in Sedgeley, West Midlands, around 8.30pm when they were struck.

Emergency services rushed to the Tipton Road scene and attempted to rescue the man, but he was pronounced dead at the scene.

The woman was seriously injured and taken to the hospital.

A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said: “When emergency personnel arrived they found two patients, a man and a woman, involved in a collision with a car.”
