Horror: A 9-year-old girl is left fighting for her life after being hit by a car while crossing a pedestrian crossing – as a man is arrested
A schoolgirl is fighting for her life after being hit by a car this morning.
The nine-year-old teenager was walking across a crosswalk with an adult near a park in West Yorkshire when a black Vauxhall Corsa crashed into her.

The horror happened around 11 a.m. when rescue workers in Halifax rushed to the scene of the accident.
The nine-year-old was taken to hospital where she was in critical condition as of this afternoon.
The driver of the car, a 53-year-old man, was arrested on suspicion of causing serious injuries by driving dangerously.
Police are now investigating the accident and are appealing for witnesses to come forward.
The youth had crossed King Cross Street near People’s Park.
