“The problem started last August, it’s reflected stress that started the whole thing. Now I’ve noticed if I’m too stressed, my skin breaks out,” she says. Agree.

“I’ve tried everything, from over-the-counter creams to steroid creams, they made my skin 10 times worse and my skin 10 times drier and irritated.

“I’ve even tried steaming my face and chest with greek yogurt to help cool my skin from the horrible burn, I just wanted to soak my whole face in a bucket of something to relieve the pain.

“I literally tried everything!” The star reflected on her disappointment, admitting that at one point her skin became “tight and scaly” and started shedding “like a snake” without her “recognizing”.

She added: “It affected my confidence so much that I didn’t want to leave the house.”

Stephanie eventually turned to her fans on Instagram for advice.

“I just wanted to find something to put an end to the cramping and burning pain. My anxiety spiked and I just wanted to hide,” she explained, and later revealed that fans helped her get it. I am pregnant.

The star later suffered a severe miscarriage, which she explained that one day she hopes for a “happy ending”.

“Don’t know if I should post this or not, just feeling so down lately,” she wrote on Instagram.

“It’s no one’s business, whether I should share my sadness or just keep it to myself and feel as sad and lonely as I am.

“As my followers, I guess you know me pretty well. The fact that your messages about my bad skin changes, my eating a lot of curries, random foods and hormones makes me cringe. check… I’m pregnant.”

Da Steph has recovered from medical treatment, but it has been a rough year for the star.

In January, her stalker, Alex Boston, was jailed for 28 weeks for a three-month terror campaign that forced Stephanie to move house.

“It’s definitely had a big effect on my mental health,” she said during an appearance on This Morning.

“Anyway, I struggle with my mental health. When that happens, I’m so nervous, I can’t relax.

“I kept having panic attacks, every time I heard a noise, I panicked.”

Stephanie is best known for playing Sinead Shelby on Hollyoaks from 2010 to 2015.

She returned to the popular Channel 4 in 2018 but left last year to pursue new projects.

Stephanie gave birth to son Caben in 2017 with ex Jeremy McConnell.

She is currently dating Joe Mckalroy after going official on Instagram earlier this year.
