The Holiday accompanies Kate on her dream family holiday in the Mediterranean.

But the vacation she’s always dreamed of soon turns into a nightmare when she finds out her husband is having an affair with one of her close friends.

All four of her friends are on vacation with her and Kate spends a lot of time getting to the bottom of things.

As Kate tries to get to the bottom of the matter, she soon begins to neglect her children — and that doesn’t go over well with some.

One person tweeted: “The upbringing leaves a lot to be desired. There is no control. The parents seem so self-absorbed.”

Echoing her comments, someone else said: “Are these the most neglectful parents in the world? Selfish idiots.”

While a third added: “The holiday just bugs me. Why are the little kids allowed to run so far from the villa?”
