Highland Park Bridge Ramp to Rt. 28 Northbound to close for several months – CBS Pittsburgh

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) — A busy commuter corridor is getting complicated for even experienced Pittsburgh drivers.
Effective Monday at 7:00am the ramp from the Highland Park Bridge to Rt. 28 Northbound in Aspinwall will close.
The ramp will be closed to allow crews to renovate the bridge, install baffles and improve the drainage system.
According to PennDOT, the project is part of the $47 million Route 28 Highland Park Interchange Project.
If you normally use this ramp as part of your journey, you can take a detour here:
- From Highland Park Bridge, take the ramp to Aspinwall.
- Follow Freeport Road to Fox Chapel Road
- Turn left onto Fox Chapel Road
- Turn left again onto the Rt. 28 northbound ramp
The ramp closure is expected to last until the end of June.
