It’s almost the new year and that means we’re getting closer to some new WhatsApp updates.
Here are five of WhatsApp’s most anticipated features that are expected to drop in 2022.
Instagram Stories on WhatsApp
Follow WhatsApp followers WABetaInfo, the chat platform may one day have Instagram Reels.
It is assumed that Reels will have a separate space on the WhatsApp application.
This could be part of Meta’s plan to unify all of the major social networking apps it owns.
Sign out WhatsApp
WABetaInfo has also previously stated that WhatsApp is working on the sign out feature.

This feature would be suitable for a cross-device update because you can sign out on one device and still be signed in on another.
It was discovered being tested in the beta version of WhatsApp.
The rumored ‘Read Later’ feature will work just like Archived Chats.
You can mark a conversation as ‘Read later’ so you don’t have to receive notifications from it until you’re ready.
Unlimited ‘delete for everyone’
A common complaint about WhatsApp is that you only have a certain amount of time to delete messages in chats with people.
After 68 minutes and 16 seconds, your message will be there forever and you can only delete it for yourself.
However, this could be set to change in the future.
Based on 91 mobile phones, WhatsApp has experimented with removing the time limit for this feature and making it unlimited.
Hide from specific contacts
You can now hide your most recent time on WhatsApp, but you can’t hide it from specific contacts.
The company is said to be changing this, so when you change the “Last seen” setting, you’ll see an option for “Except my contacts”.
As with all rumors and beta-tested features, we can’t be sure any of these cool features will be rolled out widely until we get it. Get official information from WhatsApp.
In other news, a researcher has hack a common one at home Test for Covid-19 and change your results to demonstrate the tests can be exploited.
You should exit Facebook Messenger and use two other apps instead, a network expert has warned.
And, older phones can decommissioned in 2022 because 3G network will stop working.
