A heartbroken family has paid tribute to a ‘loving’ grandma who was killed in their home.
Lorraine Mills, 63, is said to have been ‘taken from us in such a tragic way’.
Her body was found dead in her home in Southampton earlier this week.
Lorraine’s family said: “Our loving mother, sister, grandmother Lorraine, you were taken from us in such a tragic way.
“You will be sorely missed and always in our hearts. We love you forever to the moon and back.”
Richard Shaw, 48, was charged with the murder after the incident and appeared in Southampton Magistrates Court on Thursday.
He is due to appear at Winchester Crown Court next Monday.
A 38-year-old woman who was also arrested in connection with the incident was released with no further action taken against her.
