HEARTBREAKING posts have revealed the mental health struggles of a mother who allegedly strangled her two young children and tried to kill her third before jumping out of a window.

Lindsay Clancy, a 32-year-old mother and nurse from Massachusetts, wrote about how she suffered from postpartum anxiety in the months leading up to the horrifying incident, according to local reports.

In July, the hospital worker shared her fears on Facebook just six weeks after giving birth to her third child, according to the Boston Globe.

She wrote about how she felt “switched back on” and focusing on diet and exercise as “it made all the difference.”

The post is no longer publicly visible.

The tortured mother was allegedly struggling with a postpartum psychosis that can produce delusions and hallucinations, sources told CBS Boston.

FAMILY TRAGEDY

This comes after police were briefed on the situation when someone reported a woman jumping out the window of a house in Duxbury.

When authorities entered the home, they found three children upstairs who “were unconscious and showed obvious signs of trauma,” Plymouth District Attorney Timothy J. Cruz said.

Little Cora, five, and Dawson, three, died in hospital and the third child, a seven-month-old boy, was flown to a Boston hospital where he is continuing to be treated.

The mother was employed at Massachusetts General Hospital but was on furlough when the tragedy occurred, officials said.

“We are shocked and saddened to learn of this unimaginable tragedy,” the hospital told the Boston Globe.

“We extend our deepest sympathy to everyone affected by these devastating events.”

Although Cruz said Cora and Dawson appeared to have been strangled, their autopsies have yet to be performed.

Authorities believe Clancy attempted suicide by jumping out of a window.

Clancy is currently being treated at a Boston hospital.

The mother injured herself before taking the fall, according to a dispatcher via Broadcastify.

“She is conscious,” said a dispatcher. “It was a fall from over 20 feet.”

According to the dispatcher, the mother suffered back and neck injuries.

A candlelight vigil was held in Duxbury on Thursday so locals could offer their condolences to the Clancy family.

Crowds of heartbroken parishioners gathered at Holy Family Church to pray for the difficult situation.

“I don’t know how I feel about the situation, she was sick, but I’m sure it was his heart,” one woman told CBS Boston.

“He lost his children and his wife. So I’m just sad.”

DAY OF HORROR

Neighbor John Sullivan told the Globe his son called him Tuesday night after the incident and told him a woman was “laying down in the backyard.”

As Sullivan walked to his neighbor’s house, he saw first responders performing life-saving procedures on a baby outside.

Donna Jesse, who posed as the children’s aunt, told the Globe, “They were beautiful, beautiful children.”

“It’s pretty shocking,” said Rita Musgrove, who posed as the children’s great-grandmother.

Jesse and Musgrove were seen visibly emotional as they left a bouquet of roses outside the home where others had left flowers in honor of the children.

Cruz said authorities on Wednesday “applied for and received an arrest warrant in Plymouth District Court charging Lindsay Clancy, the mother of these children, with her murders.”

He said that “we will indict her as soon as possible on the two counts of murder in the deaths of her children.”

Clancy married her husband Patrick in 2016 in Southington, Connecticut, reports the Globe.

She graduated from Quinnipiac University in 2012 and earned a degree in biology.

The mother later earned her bachelor’s degree in nursing from the Massachusetts General Hospital Institute of Health Professions.

She often wrote on social media about how blessed she was to be the mother of such amazing children.
