Heartbreaking M&S sandals review leaves everyone in tears after man who lost his leg says he’ll be donating the left slipper

People were heartbroken after reading a review by a man on the Marks & Spencer website after he purchased a pair of slippers.

After buying £19.50 Freshfeet Sandals, the shopper revealed that he had lost his right leg so he could only wear one and offered to give the other slipper away for free to anyone who might lose one.

The man gave the M&S comfortable sandals five stars and began his review with: “Very comfortable 8 r/h sandals looking for owners.”

He continued: “It feels like a change to me to wear the same M&S Slipper style for over forty years. They look modern, they’re certainly warm and very comfortable as well.

“5 years ago, I lost my right foot so I never wore my right sandals. So if you’re missing one on your left and you’re wearing a size 8 and need a pair of your right, I allow M&S to provide you. give you my email address and you can have one for free, just contact me…”

The candid review was shared by the writer on Twitter Jayne Sharp who discovered it while browsing the web looking for a present for her father.

Sharing a screenshot, she wrote: “Just looked at Dad’s sandals for Christmas and came across this review on @markandspencer’s website. I think I’ve got something on my mind.”

The post received dozens of comments with people choking at the sweet gesture.

“It’s not just the spirit of Christmas, it’s the spirit of the people. Somehow the smallest gestures make the biggest impact,” one person wrote. “Whoever you are, you have my utmost respect.”

And next to an emoji of a broken and crying heart, another wrote: “ohhhh!!! I’m not crying… put those onions away.”

While a third wrote: “They are adorable.”
