“He hid the problems the team had”

Juventus defender Giorgio Chiellini feel Cristiano Ronaldo Help paper fix many cracks while he was at the club.
The Portuguese, who spent three years in Turin before returning to Old Trafford last September, has been criticized by some for having had a negative impact on the team.
However, his former teammate thinks it’s the exact opposite, revealing that the Bianconeri are not too pleased with his departure.
Speaking to the press ahead of their Italian Super Cup clash with Inter Milan, he said:
“Cristiano hid the problems the team had. He’s an important player. Having a top player like him on the team makes it easier to hide the problems.”
His departure has certainly had a huge impact on the Old Lady’s national championship campaign. Juventus is languishing in 5th place with only 38 points after 21 matches, 11 points behind Inter Milan despite playing more than one match.
Goals are also hard to come by, with the team averaging just 1.5 goals per game in Serie A, further proof of how much Ronaldo has kept things together.
But without him, life is difficult. Chiellini added:
“I was expecting a difficult season after Cristiano’s departure, but in reality we are the same team as last season, with Locatelli and Kean, but without Cristiano.”
However, the Italian legend refused to give up and felt Juventus still had a chance to win titles. He added:
“If we work hard, we can achieve our goals, but we cannot feel inferior or let our mental energy drain, which we are no longer used to doing. “
