Hayes is back from injury again

What is supposed to be a busy start to the week for Flyers paused briefly on Tuesday with the postponement of their home game against the New York Islanders. That cleared a back on the schedule and allowed a little more time to rest and refocus after a sixth straight loss on Sunday night.
The Flyers visit New York Ranger for the first time this season and also bringing an old Ranger back to their roster, hopefully this could be one of the internal improvements that kick off their season.
Game time is 7pm

Joel Farabee | 20 | 7 | 3 | ten | Ryan Strome | 16 | 3 | 11 | 14 |
Kevin Hayes returned to the squad just two weeks after a recurring injury kept him out for another six games. Hayes has only played two games this season, but has one point in each.
Mika Zibanejad Rangers have been solid, but not at his usual scoring clip with just four goals in the season so far and in a goalless nine-game dry spell. A visit from the Flyers might be what he needs. Last season, Zibanejad scored seven of his 24 goals and 18 of his 50 points against the Flyers, including a pair of hat-tricks and two six-pointers.
Carter Hart will be back on target for the Flyers. His last game on Friday before the storm was his worst of the season so far, to score six goals from 36 shots. After making 10 games in a row, scoring 3 or less, Hart has scored 10 in his last two games, so he’s looking for a comeback as much as the rest of the team.
It’s been a solid season for Igor Shesterkin, who is expected between the pipeline for Rangers. Shesterkin won his last two games and took a relief win over Buffalo on Nov. 21. Shesterkin has won six of his last seven games since his worst start to the season, to score six goals against the Calgary Flames on November 6. Shesterkin has allowed a total of 13 goals in seven games since.
