Hayes and Kerr win the FA Women’s Super League Manager and Player Awards after Chelsea’s third consecutive title win

EMMA HAYES has received the FA WSL Manager of the Season award after guiding Chelsea to their third straight division title.
And Blues forward Sam Kerr, 28, clinched the player’s award after finishing as the league’s top scorer.

Hayes, 45, led her Kingsmeadow side to a double trophy last season, with her side winning both the FA Cup and the WSL title this season.
After losing 4-2 at home to Manchester United on the last day of the game, her side beat Arsenal and finished first.
In March, the club reached the Continental Tires Trophy final at Plow Lane before being beaten 3-1 by Man City.
Earlier this month, Hayes praised her players’ efforts, which she described as immense and “the best team” she has ever coached.


And the Blues boss praised Kerr after the forward scored 20 goals in 20 top-flight games last season.
The striker, who won the Golden Boot last season, scored twice in this year’s FA Cup final
And her goals helped her side defeat Man City 4-2 at Wembley Stadium.
This month, Hayes said: “She’s the best for a reason and she has once again championed this football club.

“I said (to Sam) ‘Come to Chelsea and you will win trophies’ and I can confidently say that we both made the right decision.”
The gong for Hayes comes after the Chelsea boss was named WSL Boss of the Year at Tuesday night’s League Managers Awards dinner.
Liverpool manager Matt Beard was awarded the Women’s Championship at the event at Grosvenor House in London.
