Hate preacher Omar Bakri Mohammad released from prison over fears of youth being brainwashed

HATE preacher Omar Bakri Mohammad has reportedly been released from prison.

Security chiefs fear he is now brainwashing young British Muslims online.

Bakri, 65, banned from Britain, was reportedly released in Lebanon last week. He was jailed in 2014 for supporting the Al Qaeda terrorist group.

He preached hate from a north London mosque but fled the UK after being arrested for treason following the July 7, 2005 attacks.

A Whitehall source said: “There are concerns he could still be a malicious influence on young people via the internet.”

Syrian Bakri moved to the UK in 1986. He founded the banned militant group al-Muhajiroun.

His students include the 2013 killer of Fusilier Lee Rigby, the gang behind the 2017 London Bridge attacks and those responsible for the failed fertilizer bombing of 2004
