SNAPCHAT was down for thousands of users on November 16, 2021, during a mysterious outage.

Technical issues mean users can’t log into the app or access core features.

What happened to Snapchat?

According to the online crash tracker DownDetector, the issue started happening around 12 noon EST.

More than 55,000 users have reported issues with the iOS and Android apps on the website.

While some apps work well, others have trouble accessing core features like uploading and sending photos.

Some users are also having trouble logging in.

There is no word yet on what caused the power outage.

Snapchat has yet to comment on the matter.

Technical problems occurred after the app crashed in june causes the app to crash when opening.

After a similar outage hit Facebook, one analyst said that users of the major social networking sites can expect online services to go down with increasing frequency.

Jake More, an expert at cybersecurity firm ESET, said: “Mass infrastructure struggles to simulate changes at scale, seemingly able to wipe them offline for hours. with significant financial impact”.

What should you do if your Snapchat crashes?

Even though the application is back up and running normally, some people may still experience problems.
