Harry & Meg branded ‘irrelevant’ and ‘very troubled couple’ as the couple demands titles be removed following the Netflix documentary

PRINCE Harry and Meghan Markle were branded ‘entirely irrelevant’ by a government minister last night – and faced a call to have their royal titles removed.
Harry has been accused of attacking key institutions in Britain during the controversial documentary, which touches on alleged racism and bigotry in the royal family.

Harry was quoted on the show as saying royals have “an enormous amount of unconscious bias”.
His wife Meghan said the media was bent on “destroying” her.
Labor Secretary Guy Opperman said the couple were “entirely irrelevant” to the progress of the UK and the royal family.
Speaking to BBC Question Time, he said they were a clearly troubled couple, which was a “sad state of affairs”.
He said: “I don’t think it has a fundamental impact on the royal family. I certainly won’t look at it.
Conservative MP Bob Seely said the prince’s comments on the documentary raised a political issue.
It’s been two years since Harry and Meghan stopped working as full-time royals and Seely plans to introduce legislation that would strip the couple of their royal titles.
If the proposed law passes, lawmakers would vote on a resolution that would give the Privy Council the power to strip the couple’s titles.
Mr Seely said: “Not only is he destroying his family and monetizing his misery for public consumption, he is also attacking some important institutions in this country.”
The royal couple have amassed an immense amount of wealth from the Netflix series, which is estimated to be worth £100million.
The fourth, fifth and sixth episodes are scheduled to be released next Thursday.
On the series, the couple slammed the British press, calling stories “racy” and “planted” ahead of their wedding day.
Harry also spoke about what he called the Windsors’ “unconscious bias”.
Harry said: “In this family, sometimes you’re part of the problem rather than part of the solution.
Meghan said she was surprised by the royal family’s formality – even behind closed doors – which is seen as a dig at William and Kate.
Prince William is understood to be feeling “betrayed” after his brother allowed deeply personal attacks on him and his wife Kate to be broadcast.
Last night the royal family were said to have been “in a state of sadness” following the couple’s final barbs – but fear the worst is yet to come.
A senior Palace source said Buckingham Palace, Kensington Palace and members of the family have not been asked to comment on the content of the series.
