HARRY MAGUIRE has broken his silence after being booed while playing for England last night.
The Manchester United skipper has been chosen by boss Gareth Southgate alongside Tyrone Mings at the back.
Maguire, 28, has endured a difficult season at club level and has drawn much criticism for his performances.
After scoring for the Three Lions against Albania in November, Maguire turned his ears to the fans, angering Roy Keane.
This time against Ivory Coast, Maguire’s name was booed when it was announced before the game.
His first touches in the 3-0 win itself were met with cheers.
However, Maguire appears to have snubbed the criticism without referencing it in a tweet this morning.
Accompanied by a picture of him playing last night, he wrote on Twitter: “Enjoyable week playing for my country
